Andrew McDonald – Owner and General Manager
Andrew McDonald has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry. This includes the renovation, opening and management of the Premiere Function Centre in Traralgon and Premiere Catering Services.
Throughout his career, Andrew has been involved in the design and operation of numerous hospitality venues including Café Le Mac’s, Churchill Noodle bar, Churchill Hotel, Kay Street night clubs, Star Bar Traralgon and Chapels Restaurant Traralgon.
This experience, combined with his creative experience in television and marketing, has proven to be a successful combination when managing the reopening of the Criterion Hotel in November 2013.
Backed by a team focused on delivering a consistently high standard of food and service, Andrew is proud of the direction the hotel is heading and looks forward to introducing higher levels of extended services.
Ferg Horan – Operations Manager
Ferg is the face of the Criterion. A qualified chef in his own right, Ferg now focuses his attention on ensuring that all customers of the hotel enjoy their experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Ferg, as a chef, has worked alongside some of the regions finest chefs, having worked at the Duarts Reception Centre, Tinamba Hotel, Avista and Cafe Biz
Ferg has returned to Sale after two years as a chef in Western Australia. Ferg’s influence on the hotel is visible throughout, having assisted on menu design, interior design and staff training.
